About the Role
This internship offers hands-on experience in corporate sustainability, greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting, and data-driven environmental management in an international setting. The internship is limited to 12 months and requires regular on-site presence at our premises in Aarburg.
Your tasks
• Assist in collecting, organizing, and validating sustainability data from Franke entities worldwide
• Support the administration of sustainability reporting systems and databases (e.g. Intelex), including data quality checks and documentation
• Assist with the collection and analysis of sustainability data, including greenhouse gas emissions and other environmental metrics
• Support the preparation of sustainability reports, presentations, and disclosures for internal and external stakeholders
• Assist in preparing submissions for ESG ratings, assessments, and sustainability initiatives (e.g. CDP, EcoVadis, UN Global Compact)
• Conduct research on sustainability topics, reporting requirements, emission factors, and industry best practices
• Contribute to sustainability projects in collaboration with functions such as Procurement, Operations, and Product Management
• Assist in developing communication, training, and awareness materials related to sustainability reporting and ESG topics
• Support coordination activities, including stakeholder follow-up, document management, and tracking deliverables
• Assist with benchmarking, gap assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives related to sustainability reporting and data management
Your Profile
• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field
• Strong analytical mindset and interest in environmental data and corporate sustainability
• Familiarity with topics such as the GHG Protocol, life cycle assessment (LCA), or carbon footprinting is a plus
• Proficient in Excel and comfortable handling quantitative datasets
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); German is an asset
• Organized, proactive, and detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently in an international team
