As part of our Graduate and Early Career Program (GEC), this newly established role allows you to make a global impact and be accountable for key sustainability projects. At Franke, we understand how important it is to get exposure, learn, and develop early​ in your career. We support and prepare you to take on a role in one of our divisions​ or matrix functions after successful completion of the GEC program (12-18 months).  

We are looking for a highly motivated, collaborative colleague to join our Quality team as part of Group Operations. This position reports to the Head of Quality, Franke Group Operations and is located in Fabriano, Italy.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • You will help to identify state-of-the art technologies and business practices related to sustainability that could be realized at Franke.
  • You will work closely with the Group Sustainability team to identify meaningful sustainable practices into production processes, Supply Chain Management and R&D.
  • You will work in the Production stream (with focus on energy efficiency, resource & waste, GHG emissions), having responsibility for the implementation of the Group sustainability strategy and achieving the environmental targets for 2022, 2025 and 2030.
  • You will collaborate with Operations Managers and with cross-divisional stakeholders and with the Group Sustainability team.
  • You will share cross-divisional and geographical best practices to drive continuous improvement in the local plants worldwide and harmonize activities. 

Development of a Group Integrated Quality / Environmental / Health & Safety Management System:

  • You lead the project for the creation of Global Guidelines for Franke Group.
  • You will assess existing local Quality Management Systems within our divisions and gather best practices from external companies.
  • You will work closely with the Quality Management Systems experts across our divisions. Reference standards are ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001; further additions to be made in due course.
  • In a second phase, you will also work on the Products LifeCycle stream (Materials & Supply Chain, End-of-Life) with a wider scope having also touch points with R&D, Logistics and Procurement, to contribute to the construction of a consistent database of relevant information and to the identification of the main actions that must be implemented in the area of New Products Development.

Your profile requirements:

  • You have completed your Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences / Engineering Sciences / Industrial Engineering and you already gained up to 2 years of work experience​​
  • Languages: Fluent in English (written and spoken) is a prerequisite, other languages are an asset
  • You demonstrate genuine interest in our business and are eager to discover and learn about different functions and roles within Franke​​
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills​
  • You are a team player and an agile learner​
  • You are willing to push yourself out of your comfort zone
  • Excited about being part of a global team and turning your ideas into action
  • Proactive and committed mindset
  • Willingness to travel to make factory visits and assessments (COVID-19 travel restrictions apply)
