As the Sustainability Reporting Specialist, you will play a crucial role within the Franke Group’s Corporate Sustainability Team. Reporting directly to the Sustainability Reporting Manager, you will oversee the entire value chain, from data collection and validation to report editing and external publication. Your responsibilities will involve collaborating with various stakeholders, integrating the work of external suppliers, and driving continuous process improvements.

Your responsibilities

  • Data Collection & Validation: Gather, review, validate, and monitor sustainability-related data across product and group levels.
  • ESG Reporting Tool Implementation: Operate our new reporting tool, ensuring successful adoption throughout the entire Franke Group.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple Franke locations, as well as external partners (suppliers, customers) along the value chain.
  • Editorial Support: Assist in the editorial process for Franke’s annual Sustainability Reports.
  • Alignment with Standards & Regulations: Ensure data and analyses adhere to relevant standards, legislation, and regulations, promoting auditability.
  • Continuous Improvement: Recommend enhancements to stay ahead of evolving reporting requirements and contribute to data quality and process improvement initiatives.
  • External Assessments: Coordinate responses to external sustainability assessments (e.g., CDP, UNGC, EcoVadis).
  • Onboarding: Support colleagues in providing required reporting information.

Your skillset

  • Education: University degree in Economics, Political Sciences, Business Administration, Statistics, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Sustainability, or related fields.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in ESG, Reporting, Compliance, Audit, or Assurance within large international organizations.
  • Reporting Knowledge: Familiarity with reporting standards and guidelines (e.g., GRI, CSRD, TCFD, IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards).
  • Data Expertise: Previous experience collecting, processing, and validating data for reporting purposes.
  • Systems & Tools: Experience with tools such as SBTi, CDP, UN Global Compact, Sedex, and ERPs/platforms (e.g., SAP, PBS, Sphera/Intelex).
  • Language: Strong oral and written communication skills in English (German proficiency is a plus).
