About the job
You will manage tax matters, including tax audits and tax filings, for all Franke German companies within the Organschaft. This includes Franke Deutschland Holding GmbH, Franke GmbH, Franke Foodservice Systems GmbH, Franke Coffee Systems GmbH, and Berbel Ablufttechnik GmbH. You will report directly to the Head of Global Tax.
Your tasks
- Collaborate with the Head of Global Tax to manage tax audits in Germany by serving as the primary contact person for the tax authorities. Coordinate the collection of documentation, develop arguments to support the company’s tax positions, and draft responses to inquiries.
- Prepare various tax calculations and filings for the German entities and establish a reliable in-house tax compliance process designed to identify and manage tax risks proactively.
- Take ownership of preparing Transfer Pricing documentation (Local Files) for the German group companies, working closely with internal stakeholders.
- Foster strong collaboration with both local and group accounting and controlling teams, becoming the go-to person for all tax-related matters in Germany.
- In addition to the German tax focus, there may be opportunities to get involved in international tax topics and global projects alongside the Head of Global Tax, depending on interest and capacity.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in preparing tax filings for companies in Germany, including those within Organschaften.
- Proven experience in tax audits, communicating with tax authorities, and preparing response letters.
- Strong working knowledge of German accounting rules.
- Native German speaker with excellent English language skills.
- Highly developed analytical and research skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple diverse responsibilities.
- Effective communicator, team player, takes ownership, and is trustworthy.
