About the job

The Marketing manager for Spain and Portugal will coordinate and support all marketing activities in both markets. This position is responsible of developing and executing a marketing plan for the region in line with central marketing guidelines, sales objectives and planned budgets.
She/He will also be responsible for proposing and developing the local marketing budget in coordination with the local team and the central marketing team
She/he will take the lead in understanding the market needs from a consumer and customer perspective, to develop assets which are meaningful and impactful for our target audience ( B2B partners, architect & designers , final end consumers). This know-how will be shared with the central Marketing team to ensure that central developed assets are fit for the local market. 
The person is responsible for developing and launching on time all necessary sales assets (catalogues, launch packages, flyers, giveaways, …) as well as responsible for the showrooms in the region and events development & planning. Furthermore, the person is responsible for the Marketing communication plan in the region. Defining, in alignment with the central Marketing Team. 
Additionally, she/he will develop the digital marketing tools ( website , social media , b2b portal) following central guidelines and support the local sales teams with the necessary assets but as well give regular updates on the marketing activities in her/his area of responsibility as well as collect feedback and input from different teams in the organization (Sales, Category Management, Management).
The person in this position takes accountability for a successful marketing strategy in Iberia. The position will report to the head Iberia. 

Your tasks

  • Cooperates strongly with the central marketing team as well as with WE Cluster Category management and Sales teams in Spain and Portugal
  • Leads the Marketing activities, coaches people to reach the objectives & ambition
  • Works closely with the category management and sales team to define the catalogues, brochures, leaflets, POS, etc.
  • Coordinate activities with the external suppliers developing the marketing assets
  • Manages and optimizes the assigned local marketing budget
  • Cooperates strongly with the central Advertising and communication team to develop an execute the communication strategy (ATL , PR, social media) in the region.
  • Together with the central team will develop and coordinate the media plan with the selected partner agency
  • Manage and strengthen brand awareness and brand equity at local level
  • Together with the central marketing and local team develops the Website, Webbshop and B2B portal to increase traffic and orders via these channels.
  • Visits the point of sales regularly to understand the customer needs and ensure brand visibility
  • Understands the markets and B2B trade partner needs to develop assets which support the sales of Franke products as well as increases brand visibility and positioning of Franke as a competent partner
  • Benchmarks competitors marketing assets and collects consumer insights and trends to develop unique and relevant assets
  • Understands how our B2B partner make use and work with the kitchen planning software as well as implement the required improvements in this area to become a preferred partner and to contribute to our sales growth
  • Takes the lead in exploiting the full potential of the showroom, by first developing a concept on how to best utilize these assets. Coordinates strongly with sales, customers events and as well as trainings in the showrooms
  • Plays the role of brand ambassador in Iberia, inside and outside the organization, defends the brand equity and makes sure the guideline is carefully respected
  • Shares best practices with the global marketing community

Requirements

  • Strong leadership competencies, experience in managing cross-functional teams
  • Strong customer (internal & external) and consumer orientation
  • Very effective communicator towards internal sales teams and customers
  • Capability of getting things executed
  • Natural affinity towards design and its beauty
  • High quality aspiration
  • Natural open mindset to new ideas linked to a desire to push boundaries
  • Academic background: Bachelor or Master’s degree Communication or marketing
  • Working experience: 5 years of relevant working experience related to brand management, marketing campaigns and/or sales
  • Fluent in Spanish and English (verbally & written),
  • Additional languages as Portuguese are an advantage
  • Open to travel in Spain and Portugal (e.g. 20%)
  • Position to be based San Cugat del Valles, Barcelona
