The Role:

In this role, you will define the strategy and lead warehousing and distribution performance and activities for the Franke Home Solutions division. You will represent the Franke Warehousing and Distribution organization and processes in front of divisional leaders, namely Market Management and Manufacturing Management. We are looking for a customer-centric leader with a positive mindset and eagerness to deliver solutions.

This role is location-flexible where we have Franke production sites in the EMEA region: Bad Säckingen, Germany, Peschiera del Garda, Italy, and Chambly, France. You will report directly to the Head of Supply Chain Management for Franke Group Operations.

Execution Responsibilities:


  • Assess Safety Behavior, define pertinent standards and drive improvement plan directly or indirectly
  • Align with local leaders and define HS&E road map for the warehouses of the division
  • Be an expert advisor to local Warehouse leaders for HS&E matters
  • Monitor HS&E corrective and preventive action in Supply Chain of the assigned division
  • Walk the talk of our Franke values
  • Engage reporting team (direct and indirectly reporting) in delivering Franke business requirements
  • Define adequate process leading KPI and related targets to reach End-to-End Supply Chain Performance as Service Level, Warehousing and Transport cost and inventory monitoring (what not managed by Shared Service Center)
  • Monitor Division Corrective Action and Preventive Action to deliver committed plans and performance improvement
  • Measure Division Supply Chain cost versus previous year and Budget including In- and outbound transport cost
  • Validate Supply Chain Budget for his Division including Capital Expenditure and Cost Savings
  • Define and implement the required organization and Leader Standard of Work that will ensure business sustainability (in line with Franke Competency Model)
  • Animate and lead the Supply Chain leadership community of the assigned Division
  • Monitor partner performance and own improvement synergies between Franke organization and external partners
  • Liaise with Business and Functional Top Management Stakeholders and define area of improvement and project
  • Support Division Executive S&OP
  • Support S&OP process improvements toward Integrated Business Processes with local organization in S&OP performance tracking, processes discipline and execution
  • Inspire and lead Franke Production System (FPS/Lean) within Supply Chain of the assigned Division
  • Support local Supply Chain teams to implement FPS practices as PDCA, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and 5S
  • Lead (and/or be team members) projects assigned to the function
  • Report progress about project responsibilities assigned to the position
  • Promote Competency Matrix and monitor local implementation programs in Supply Chain Areas
  • Implement a Training Organization to respond to demand fluctuation and to turnover changes
  • Clarify Supply Chain Organization and Team role and responsibility through adequate yearly performance review (see Franke Standards), update Job Description, Standard of Work and RACI
  • Coach/mentor, train and facilitate work of team member as appropriate
  • When needed, represent Functional and Business management toward local authorities
  • Be part of the Global Supply Chain community
  • Be a ERP, APO and WM reference for Supply Chain tasks
  • Stay informed on last trends and technology on own area of expertise


Tactical Responsibilities:

  • Implement a “Zero Accident” Safety Culture
  • Reduce Warehousing and Distribution environmental impact
  • Promote and implement Global Supply Chain Strategy
  • Measure performance and implement adequate Corrective Action and Preventive Action (CAPA) to reach defined targets
  • Interpret business requirement (i.e locally, globally and cross-functionally) and define Warehousing and Distribution Road Map in line with Supply Chain and Market leaders
  • Lead/define warehouse automation/standardization journey to improve efficiency and productivity
  • Sustain and support Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) activities
  • Lead assigned project in line with Franke Project Management processes
  • Implement Franke Culture based on Franke Behaviors Model and Franke Leader Standard of Work
  • Assess local organization and competencies and identify / deploy required coaching and training in alignment with Operations and local with HR leaders
  • Promote and implement Continuous Improvement in line with Franke Production Systems and Franke Standard Operations Procedure (SOP). 

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Logistics or Supply Chain
  • Proven global and multi-site leadership expertise
  • Supply Chain experience
  • ERP, Demand Planning and Office IT tools
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Methodology
  • Fluent in English; Italian proficiency is an advantage
  • Customer-centric mindset and solutions provider / eager problem solver
  • Leader, team player and outstanding communicator
  • Resilient and positive approach
  • Willingness to travel 20-40% (COVID-19 rules and regulations to be upheld)
