SUMMARY 

The Finance Director is a key position to analyze, drive and direct the financial growth and competitiveness of Chain Link Services, a division of Franke Foodservice. This individual will provide the necessary quantitative and qualitative input for business decisions related to customer pricing, financial and strategic planning, and capital expenditure, etc.  The Finance Director will also be responsible for the financial performance of our various lines of business. This position will report to the General Manager and serve as a key member of the Chain Link Services Leadership and Franke Food Service Finance Teams. 

Your tasks

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES 

• Analyzes all aspects of the business and identifies economic weaknesses or imbalances, prepares reports and recommendations serving as a basis for improving earnings, reducing risks, and supervises the execution of such plans. 
• Establishes and drives a clear roadmap to enhance quality, consistency, and transparency of financial data across the entire business, while leveraging business intelligence tools for visualization and information sharing. 
• Reviews internal business processes for continuous improvement and internal controls, recommends and implements appropriate actions plans. 
• Acts as an advisor and business partner to the General Manager and is influential with the leadership team and other stakeholders. 
• Works with the Management Team in solving day-to-day business problems.  
• Leads, deploys, and develops the local finance team, ensuring succession plans are implemented. 
• Manages the performance of net working capital; prepares, executes, and tracks initiatives to improve net working capital, in collaboration with the shared services function. 
• Prepares, monitors, and analyzes monthly business results against plan; recommends and takes actions against identified gaps. 
• Directs and coordinates financial planning process (i.e. annual budget, mid-term plan, regular forecasting) and prepares supporting documentation and justification. 
• Manages capital spending budgets, prepares, and tracks respective business plan.   
• Collaborates with the shared service center on accounting and reporting procedures. 
• Performs other duties as assigned. 

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES 
• Very High Reasoning Ability - Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. 
• Management - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, leadership technique and coordination of people and resource allocation 
• High affinity to processes - Ability to structure tasks into repeatable, solid and documented processes. Ability to simplify existing processes and making them more efficient and effective. 
• Finance and Accounting - Knowledge of finance, accounting and costing principles, and analysis and reporting of financial data.  
• Natural authority - Ability to influence company employees at all levels of the organization. 
Reflex to speak up if activities do not go as planned or are misrepresented, even if unasked.  
• Very High Language Skills - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. 
• High Math Skills - Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. 
• Computer Skills - Advanced Excel skills 


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 
• Master’s degree with an emphasis in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. 
• 7 years of experience in comparable senior level finance roles with a proven track record of progression and advancement. 
• Highly analytical and innovative approach to problem solving, with a deep understanding of accounting and finance functions. 
• Strong organizational agility to enhance cross-functional communication and collaboration. 
• Continuous improvement and business process management along with an understanding of metrics and how to use them to drive improvement. 
• Influential leadership and change management abilities. 
• Highly proficient in MS Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel and other business intelligence tools.
