About the job

SUMMARY 
This position leads and monitors the implementation of the Environmental, Health and Safety program (EH&S), policies and procedures that meet OSHA requirements and Franke standards. Conducts assessments to ensure the facility is in compliance with all federal, local and internal safety regulations. Leads the implementation of corrective action measures required from Internal or External Audits. This position will ensure the development and enforcement of a safety driven culture within the organization through auditing and process improvement measures

Your tasks

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES 
• Leads the implementation of procedures and programs to meet the specific safety and environmental needs of the facility. 
• Ensures the site preparedness and emergency response plans by developing programs. 
• Ensures the implementation of accident and loss prevention programs.  
• Leads/Participates in a team in mitigating unsafe conditions, work practices or environmental risks. 
• Develops Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) for all safe work practices and the facility/equipment. 
• Assists with preparations for ISO, Risk and Customer compliance audits. 
• Maintains Safety Alert System and assists with communication.  
• Sponsors the EH&S Audit Program and other audits as assigned. 
• Audits and records non-conforming issues related to EH&S activities in the facility – develops action plans and oversees the execution and completion of the actions. 
• Executes the implementation of Corrective Action measures from Audit findings. 
• Leads and Maintains membership in the Franke EH&S Committee for the facility 
• Reliable attendance a must 
• Other duties as assigned

• Safety and Security - Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, regulations, and strategies to promote a safe environment.  
• Intermediate Language Skills - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. 
• Intermediate Mathematical Skills - Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. 
• Intermediate Reasoning Skills - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. 
• Computer Skills - Microsoft Office 

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE  
• Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience 
• Environmental, Health and Safety experience (preferred) 
• Auditing Experience (preferred) 
• Basic Life Saving/CPR Training is a plus
