Requirements

The Prototype Technician assists in the design, development, fabrication, test, and troubleshooting of mechanical and/or electronic component parts, prototype assemblies, or prototype systems. 

What we offer you

• Interfaces with all engineering personnel to assist in the design, development, and prototyping of equipment and small wares for the food service industry.
• Builds prototype assemblies and all necessary wiring harness assemblies.
• Assists in material selection process.
• Fabricate light gauge sheet metal and/ or wire form assemblies.
• Supports component and product performance and/or life cycle testing.
• Monitors all prototype test procedures.
• Collects and organizes test data for functionality and design of prototype assemblies to be reviewed  by Engineering, Quality Assurance or Marketing.
• Supports prototype assemblies build plans, including any required overtime to accomplish on time delivery.
• Assists in the physical transfer of any prototype systems or components to or from shipping/receiving.
• Reports or summarizes labor hours by product.
• Assists in maintaining predetermined inventory levels of all prototype components in the mechanical labs.
• Assists in maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• This position has the responsibility and authority for controlling quality as delegated by management.
• Other duties as assigned.
