About the job

As a CAD Designer you will be responsible for creating and adapting kitchen layouts and installation plans for system gastronomy projects. Your work is based on customer specifications, our technical expertise, architectural plans, and close collaboration with project coordinators, field staff, and the CAD department. A key focus of the role is planning with Autodesk Revit and implementing layouts in a structured manner according to our internal standards.

Your tasks

Planning & Drawing Creation

• Create kitchen layouts and installation plans based on customer requirements and in close coordination with the field team and project coordination.
• Modify and update existing layouts based on architectural plans or field sketches, including plausibility and feasibility checks.
• Review architect-supplied layouts with regard to technical feasibility, installation zones, and kitchen workflows.
• Proactively clarify any uncertainties in close cooperation with internal and external project stakeholders to ensure a smooth and error-free planning process.

Modeling & Technical Support

• Create detailed 3D models in Revit as well as BIM-compliant kitchen components.
• Produce hand sketches for custom-made parts, furniture, and fabrication components as a basis for:

• the internal engineering department
• improvement proposals for customers

Libraries & Standards

• Maintain, further develop, and ensure quality control of templates, Revit libraries, and reference drawings.
• Ensure compliance with internal guidelines as well as hygiene, work safety, and fire protection requirements in all planning activities.

We are looking for:

• Completed technical training or a degree in a technical or design-related field such as Technical Drawing, Architecture, Interior    
  Architecture, Building Services Engineering, Product Design, Technical Product Design, Drafting / CAD or a related discipline.
• Excellent skills in Autodesk Revit (mandatory), ideally with experience in BIM processes.
• Experience in planning gastronomy or quick-service restaurant kitchens is a plus.
• Strong technical understanding of utility installations (MEP), professional kitchen workflows, and commercial kitchen equipment.
• Confident handling of architectural plans, CAD standards, and technical documentation.
• Structured and precise working style, strong communication skills, and enthusiasm for cross-functional collaboration.
