About the job

The Project Manager – Data Integration / ETL leads the end-to-end delivery of data integration projects, from planning through go-live and stabilization. Acting as the key link between business stakeholders - Product Data Management, Sales, Commercial, Finance and IT - and the engineering team, the role ensures requirements are clarified, risks are managed and issues resolved. It also oversees the build and validation of reliable data pipelines and Product Master datasets, maintaining strong documentation, data quality and consistent reporting throughout delivery.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Own and drive the end-to-end delivery of data integration / ETL (extract – transform – load) projects for product data, from planning through go-live and stabilization
  • Report project status, KPIs and key metrics to management and steering committees; prepare decision papers where budget or scope changes are required
  • Build and maintain data ingestion processes for product data from JSON, APIs, Excel/CSV, XML, PDF and other file-based sources
  • Develop Python-based automation for extracting, cleansing, transforming and loading product data into structured staging areas
  • Parse and extract data from unstructured or semi-structured files using OCR, LLM-based extraction or parsing libraries where relevant
  • Stage raw data in databases and prepare it for transformation into a standardized product data model
  • Design and maintain simple, robust batch and incremental data pipelines
  • Validate transformed data using SQL checks, reconciliation routines and exception reporting
  • Support issue analysis and root-cause investigation for data quality, mapping or loading errors
  • Document source-to-target mappings, transformation rules, data flows and operational procedures

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or University degree, preferably in IT, Computer Science
  • Project management & delivery planning (Agile)
  • Experience in data integration, ETL/ELT, data transformation or data engineering
  • Hands-on knowledge of Python, SQL, Excel/CSV, APIs, JSON/XML and database/file-based interfaces
  • Good understanding of data management, data governance, data quality
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication skills
  • Proficient in fostering positive relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Solution orientated with a good approach to problem solving
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 10%
