In this role, you are expected to:


The EHS Manager, who is also the Safety Officer 3 and Pollution Control Officer, is responsible in planning and implementing all environment, health and safety policies, guidelines, and procedures in compliance with the DOLE Occupational Safety and Health Standards, DENR environmental standards, and other legally required standards. The main goal is to ensure a safe and healthy working environment and prevent any injuries and accidents that may occur in the workplace. 


1. Environmental, Health and Safety 

  • Creates and implements Environment, Health, and Safety policies and programs.
  • Regularly inspects the facility, reviews working conditions, conducts risk assessment, and enforces preventive measures. 
  • Oversees workplace repair, installation and other related work that could hinder employees’ safety. 
  • Ensures proper compilation of all records, documents and reports on accidents and violations and other information related to Environment, Health, and Safety. 
  • Conducts regular orientation and educational training to employees to keep them up to date with best practices techniques; ensures that all employees are following the policies and procedure. 


2. Pollution Control 

  • Identifies significant environmental aspects and impacts of the facility’s operational activities and recommends possible mitigating measures in the formulation/preparation and/or review of the Environmental Management Plan and Contingency Plan.  
  • Monitors compliance to the requirements specified in the Environmental Compliance Certificate and the commitments stipulated in the Environmental Management and Monitoring Plans or Environmental Performance Report and Management Plans and reports the same in the Compliance Monitoring Report (CMR).  


3. Compliance 

  • Ensures that all reports required by the government institutions are being done and submitted timely. 
  • Monitors update and renewal of environment, health, and safety related certification and licenses. 

We are looking for:

  • Graduate of Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Chemical/ Environmental/Health/Safety), Chemistry or equivalent. 
  • Minimum of 5 years safety management experience and practitioner 
  • Experience in risk management 
  • Experience in a manufacturing set up is an advantage 
  • First Aid Training is an advantage 
  • BOSH or the mandatory 40-hour OSH training course is required 
  • Additional 48 hours of advanced/specialized occupational safety training course is required (Safety Officer 3 practitioner) 
  • Relevant Certificates from DENR for Pollution Control Officer is also required 
  • Licensed engineer is an advantage 
  • EHS specialist certification is an advantage 
  • Fire safety certification is an advantage
