About the job

Responsible for planning, directing and controlling the accounting activities through the formulation & monitoring of policies & procedures relating to general accounting & cost accounting, budgets, tax administration, internal controls, treasury & insurance in order to provide timely & relevant management information and safeguard the interests of the company.

Your tasks

• Service Delivery.  Responsible for providing support to different segments including the Region.  Responsible for implementation and delivering Service Level Agreements (SLA) and report on performance to key stakeholders.

• Financial Management.  Conduct an in-depth review of financial information such as debit and credit management, costing, and investments.  Provide key information to assess profitability of the business.

• Compliance Management.  Ensures that accounting is carried out in accordance with the principles of international standards, local government rules and instructions of the Board.  Interface with both internal and external auditors.

• Tax Compliance. Ensures compliance with BIR and PEZA regulations as well as the Local Tax Code to ensure that the company abides by all government regulations.

• Talent Management.  Lead a team of four (4) people in Finance.  Leading training, motivation, retention and growth of team members.  Management of operational day-to-day of the finance functions.

• Stakeholder Management.  Work closely with all business stakeholders to understand their needs, have regular reviews, and deal with issues and escalations.

• Ad-hoc Functions and Reporting.  Support in the ad-hoc reports and projects as may be assigned by the FS President or the AFAC Business Unit Controller.

Requirements

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

• Minimum of 10 years managerial experience in a similar or larger organization.

• Solid experience in costing, general accounting and taxation.

• Demonstrated expertise in managing day-to-day operations along with overseeing special projects.

• Experience taking on new processes/changes.
