About the job

At Franke Kindred Canada Ltd., we are seeking licensed Industrial Millwrights (433A) to join our dedicated maintenance team in Midland, Ontario, located on the scenic shores of Georgian Bay. In this role, you will play an integral part in ensuring the smooth operation of our plant's equipment and systems, all while enjoying a comprehensive benefits package and a supportive work environment focused on continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Equipment Maintenance & Inspections: Oversee the condition of equipment, performing Planned Maintenance inspections as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor, Production Supervisors, and Plant Manager.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to legal, municipal, provincial, and internal standards and codes for all tasks, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
• Collaboration & Continuous Improvement: Work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and Plant Manager to integrate continuous improvement efforts across all department activities. Coordinate and execute work orders effectively.
• Performance & Efficiency: Monitor shift mechanical work to meet performance, response time, safety, and budgetary targets.
• Record Keeping & Data Integrity: Ensure accurate documentation of work orders, and maintenance history.
• Housekeeping & Safety: Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and safety in all areas of the job.
• Shift & Emergency Coverage: This role may require working shifts, weekends, and being part of the on-call emergency coverage rotation.
• Team Coordination: Act as a liaison between electrical and mechanical maintenance personnel, production teams, and leadership to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

Key areas of expertise should include:

• Reading technical drawings and schematics
• Rigging, hoisting, and power transmission systems
• Electric and electronic controls, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Preventive and predictive maintenance
• Welding, brazing, and soldering
• Compressors, vacuum pumps, and related systems
• Pipe systems, fans, blowers, and supporting ductwork
• Internal combustion engines and electric motors
• Lubrication systems and basic machining
