About the job

The Quality Manager is responsible for leading and continuously improving the Quality Management System (QMS) at Franke Home Solutions, Canada. This role ensures that product quality meets company and regulatory standards while driving continuous improvement initiatives across the plant. Additionally, this position will oversee Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) compliance, with the opportunity for further training in this area.

Your Tasks

Quality Management

  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) to maintain compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct internal audits, inspections, and root-cause analyses to identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Work closely with production, operations, and engineering teams to ensure product quality meets customer expectations.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to reinforce a strong culture of quality across all departments.
  • Oversee supplier quality management, ensuring incoming materials meet specifications.
  • Manage non-conformance investigations and corrective action plans, tracking progress and ensuring resolution.

 

Health, Safety, and Environmental Oversight

  • Support the implementation of health and safety policies in compliance with local, provincial, and federal regulations.
  • Assist in safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations to maintain a proactive approach to workplace safety.
  • Promote health, safety, and environmental awareness, working with leadership to build a strong safety culture.
  • Identify opportunities for sustainability improvements, such as waste reduction and energy efficiency initiatives.
  • Training in HSE compliance will be provided as needed.

 

Compliance and Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and other relevant quality management standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of quality audits, inspections, and corrective actions.
  • Provide regular reports to senior management on quality performance, key metrics, and improvement opportunities.

 

Continuous Improvement and Leadership

  • Lead quality improvement projects to enhance processes, efficiency, and overall product quality.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and evolving regulations, integrating them into company processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive a culture of operational excellence.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field preferred.
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or other quality-related certification strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in quality assurance within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Experience or interest in learning Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
