About the job


Dalla Corte is on a mission to conquer the strategic US market, and we're searching for a highly motivated Business Development Director (US) to join our team. In this pivotal leadership role, you'll be the architect of our brand presence, spearheading success and expansion across the US with an focus in New York and Chicago. The role is based in Chicago or New York (remote). An office and showroom are planned in the near future, upon successful growth of its B2B business. 

Your tasks

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities in the US market by establishing and nurturing relationships with potential customers and cultivating future partnerships within the region
  • Develop market entry strategies showcasing Dalla Corte's products, services, values, and solutions to prospective customers
  • Identify, target, and cultivate relationships with new regional or global accounts headquartered in the US
  • Manage, support, and foster relationships with distributors and key accounts
  • Provide the marketing department with relevant data and insights to tailor campaigns effectively for the local market
  • Manage and coordinate international/transborder accounts

Tasks:

  • Research and identify potential clients interested in importing, representing, and distributing Dalla Corte products
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and addressing any concerns
  • Take ownership of key account management, overseeing the entire commercial relationship for established global key accounts while gradually developing new ones
  • Establish trust-based partnerships with major clients, evolving relationships into full partnerships
  • Expand relationships with existing customers by continually proposing solutions aligned with their objectives
  • Gain a deep understanding of key customer needs and requirements
  • Prepare contract terms with clients and liaise with stakeholders throughout the process
  • Monitor project teams to ensure contracts are executed as agreed upon

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of proven professional experience as a Key Account Manager or Business Development Manager
  • Demonstrated experience in managing B2B relationships and providing tailored solutions based on customer needs
  • Experience in B2B or B2C sales within the coffee, food and beverage industry, or other Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sectors
  • International experience is preferred
  • Open-minded and adaptable to diverse cultures and situations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability in relationship management with internal and external stakeholders across all organizational levels
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Proficient in problem-solving and adept at finding common solutions
  • High degree of professionalism, with a strong drive and commitment to success
  • Self-motivated and proactive in pursuing objectives
  • Passion for coffee and coffee machines
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while remaining adaptable and perseverant
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and navigating complex situations
  • MSc/BA degree in business administration, economics, or a relevant field
  • Flexibility to travel within the country 30-40% of the time and internationally for more than 10% of the time
