About the job

This role reports into Operations Industrial Engineering and is responsible to design a digitalized road-map, the digital manufacturing eco-system, interfacing with ERP system with manufacturing equipment, integrating a seamless, traceable and paperless manufacturing process with embedded AI processes where applicable. – Specification and detailing the digitalized eco-system are in the responsibility of that role as well as leading the detailed design and implementation (design- & build-phase) with suppliers (internal and external), incl. realization and finally the hand-over to the operation organization. Furthermore, a continuous improvement and challenging of the status quo.

Your tasks

  • Leading the Digital Road-Map development
  • Analysis and specification of the manufacturing digitalized eco-system, incl. the according interfaces and collaboration with suppliers (MES/APS, shop-edge/data lake, AI, interfaces, track & trace, digital labor management)
  • Definition of project execution plan, deliverables and timelines, project budgets
  • Detailed architecture and specification of system
  • Search and evaluate suppliers and collaborative work to firm offer
  • Joint detailed engineering (design phase) with supplier in-line with specification, performance and costs
  • Support and guide the installation and commissioning (build phase) of system until hand-over to operation
  • On time execution of the defined projects within the assigned budget
  • Continuous improvement and outlook for manufacturing improvements in respect of digitalization
  • Member of a (cross-functional, cross-locational) international project team
  • Adhere to corporate social responsibility principles

  • Track record of successfully realized projects (e.g. implementation of systems) in large organizations with international scope
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience of working in industrial/project business environment
  • Brings along knowledge of lean manufacturing tools
  • Operations background with relevant production technologies (i.e. automated welding technologies, intra logistics, automated polishing technologies or automated packaging technologies). Good knowledge of “best-practices” in operations with a hands-on approach.
