About the job
The Finance Manager is the senior finance leader at the plant, responsible for ensuring financial stability, transparency, and operational steering during a phase of production ramp-up and organizational maturation.
In addition, the role will progressively expand into supporting the commercial ramp-up into the Mexican and broader LATAM market (from late 2026 onwards), ensuring disciplined margin management, pricing execution, and financial transparency.
This role requires a highly experienced and resilient finance professional who can operate effectively in an environment with incomplete processes, imperfect data, and evolving structures. The Finance Manager must proactively build clarity, establish robust financial processes, implement cost discipline, and serve as a strong business partner to both operations and commercial leadership.
This is not a maintenance role — it is a build, stabilize, and scale mandate.
Your tasks
Financial Leadership & Plant Steering
- Act as strategic finance business partner to Plant Manager and leadership team
- Provide clear, transparent financial reporting and operational performance analysis
- Translate financial results into operational action plans
- Actively challenge assumptions and ensure fact-based decision making
- Ensure early visibility of risks and deviations
- Establish financial transparency across all plant functions
Ramp-Up Controlling & Cost Discipline
- Establish and continuously improve production and standard cost accounting
- Develop reliable BOM, routing and standard cost transparency
- Analyze production variances and drive corrective actions
- Implement robust cost tracking during ramp-up phase
- Ensure strict budget adherence and cost control
- Monitor working capital, inventory levels and cash flow impact
- Ensure cost absorption logic is transparent and sustainable
Process Stabilization & Data Governance
- Identify gaps in financial and operational processes
- Drive implementation of structured controlling routines
- Improve data quality, reporting accuracy and KPI reliability
- Ensure SAP and ERP data integrity (FI/CO + PP integration)
- Build scalable reporting frameworks suitable for plant growth
Financial Planning & Performance Management
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning
- Develop scenario planning for ramp-up volatility
- Implement KPI dashboards covering:
- Production efficiency
- Cost absorption
- Inventory accuracy
- Capex tracking
- Labor productivity
- Provide monthly performance transparency to Group
Commercial Finance & LATAM Market Expansion (Ramp-up from 2026)
As the company prepares to expand into the Mexican and LATAM market, the Finance Manager will progressively assume responsibility for commercial finance oversight.
Commercial Finance Scope:
- Ensure disciplined execution of pricing frameworks defined by US headquarters
- Monitor margin realization vs. target margins
- Analyze product, customer and channel profitability
- Support commercial decision-making with contribution margin analysis
- Implement commercial guardrails for discounts, rebates, and terms
- Ensure working capital discipline in customer contracts
- Support financial evaluation of local partnerships or distribution models
- Establish margin bridge transparency (price / mix / volume / FX effects)
- Develop financial visibility into local market ramp-up risks
- While customer acquisition strategy and pricing architecture may be defined centrally, this role ensures:
- Local execution discipline
- Margin protection
- Financial transparency
- Early escalation of deviations
Compliance, Governance & External Interface
- Ensure compliance with Mexican accounting and tax regulations
- Coordinate audits and interactions with authorities
- Ensure internal control environment is effective and documented
- Safeguard financial integrity during high operational pressure
Leadership & Organizational Maturity
- Lead and develop the local finance team
- Clearly communicate support needs and escalate issues early
- Establish structured routines and financial discipline
- Foster a culture of transparency, accountability and ownership
- Act as stabilizing senior presence in a dynamic environment
- Serve as financial conscience of the plant and emerging commercial organization
Requirements
Technical Knowledge:
- Strong expertise in Industrial Controlling, including standard costing, order costing, variance analysis, and cost absorption models.
- Deep understanding of plant operational processes, ramp‑up dynamics, production efficiency, inventory flows, material movements, and operational KPIs.
- Advanced knowledge of SAP (FI/CO + PP), data flows, data integrity, and master‑data governance.
- Experience developing and managing BOMs, routings, and cost structures, ensuring transparency and accuracy in standard costs.
- Ability to analyze financial impacts across production, manufacturing, inventory, CAPEX, and labor productivity.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, long‑range planning, and scenario modeling within volatile or fast‑scaling environments.
- Strong knowledge of Mexican accounting, tax regulations, compliance requirements, and coordination of audits and internal controls.
- Solid understanding of commercial finance, including pricing frameworks, margin management, product/customer/channel profitability, commercial terms, and working capital.
- Experience building scalable reporting frameworks, KPI dashboards, and high‑accuracy reporting systems.
