About the job

The Maintenance Engineer is esponsible for performing extensive preventative maintenance, repair procedures, building, equipment, machinery, grounds, and other company facilities.

Your tasks

  • Ensures the execution of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for production and utility machinery and equipment. Assists in special projects for maintenance.
  • Independently performs a wide range of complex duties under general guidance from manager. 
  • Diagnoses equipment or system malfunctions or breakdowns based on detected symptoms.
  • Responsible for ensuring that maintenance records (preventive, corrective, and predictive) for production and utility machinery and equipment are entered into the corresponding database.                                    
  • Maintains all records related to all vendors, jobs, quotes, and equipment.                                    
  • Uses PDCA analysis tools for problem-solving.                                    
  • Inspects facilities to detect existing or potential accident and health hazards, determines corrective or preventative measures where indicated, and follows up to ensure measures have been implemented.                                  
  • Responsible for maintaining the inventory of spare parts for production and utility machinery and equipment in the corresponding database.                                  
  • Responsible for maintaining a log and tracking all repair requests for machinery and equipment received from internal customers.                                    
  • Acts as the Shutdown and Startup Team Leader during company emergencies.      
  • Responsible for reporting established indicators to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of production and utility machinery and equipment, in accordance with the frequency set by Management.
  • Participates in repairs, modifications, or maintenance services in collaboration with external suppliers.
  • Responsible for executing the maintenance plan for the plant building and peripheral systems in collaboration with external suppliers (access points, roofing, air conditioning, electrical substations, compressors, pump rooms, lighting, etc.).
  • Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery and equipment.
  •  Supervises and coordinates maintenance activities.
  •  Diagnoses faults and proposes effective solutions.
  • Complies with workplace health and safety regulations. 

Requirements

Essential:
Technical Knowledge: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. Skills:
•Degree in Industrial, Mechatronic, Electromechanical, Electrical, Mechanical, or Electronic Engineering.
• Safety and Security — Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, regulations, and strategies to promote a safe environment.
• Proven experience in automotive maintenance engineering.
• Knowledge of automotive cold stamping processes, assembly systems, and welding.
• Proficiency with PLCs (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Snahider).
•Experience with motion control systems (Siemens, Schneider)
• Experience operating and programming robots (ABB, KUKA, etc.).
•Knowledge of laser cutting systems
• Hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and mechanics
•KPI management (MTBF, MTTR, availability, PM compliance)
•Electrical and ladder diagrams
•Intermediate-Advanced English.
