About the job

The Planner Buyer will manage and control the procurement of direct materials for manufacturing, ensuring they are available when required by users. Ensure that raw materials meet company requirements and guidelines, as well as those of the integrated management system.

Your tasks

  • Purchase materials according to the required technical specifications, price, delivery schedule, and negotiation terms with key suppliers, including the periodic renewal of price lists, lead times, and conditions.
  • Perform accurate material planning based on production requirements, sales forecasts, required inventory levels, and company guidelines as well as the integrated management system.
  • Follow up with suppliers to ensure on‑time and accurate delivery of products.
  • Develop suppliers in alignment with company objectives, departmental goals, and the guidelines of the integrated management system.
  • Conduct supplier negotiations that promote “win‑win” outcomes to meet the organization's objectives.
  • Generate and share product purchase forecasts with suppliers according to the needs of the company’s operations and the end user.
  • Monitor supplier performance (on‑time delivery, quality, lead time) and resolve performance‑related issues.
  • Halt any supplier activity or practice that goes against company policies or the requirements established in the integrated management system

Requirements

Technical Knowledge:

  • ERP Management (SAP): Advanced proficiency in executing transactions, managing information, and operating modules related to purchasing, inventory, and planning within ERP systems, especially SAP.
  • Negotiation Skills: Intermediate experience in negotiation methods, supplier management, performance evaluation, and development of strategic supplier relationships.
  • Material Planning: Intermediate knowledge in planning and scheduling materials according to production requirements, ensuring timely supply and alignment with demand.
  • Inventory Management: Intermediate ability to administer, control, and optimize inventories, ensuring accuracy, proper rotation, and material availability.
  • APICS Knowledge: Intermediate understanding of APICS principles and methodologies for effective planning, scheduling, and execution of supply chain and material control processe

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position, preferably within the metal‑mechanic industry or related manufacturing environments.
  • Languages: Advanced English (spoken and written), with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and global teams.
