About the job :

We are looking for a Cluster Category Manager to serve as a vital link between local markets and the Global Category Team. In this role, you will ensure that local market insights and needs are effectively captured and reflected in global strategies, while also supporting the execution of those strategies at the local level. The position acts as the primary point of contact between the Global Category Organization and the markets within your assigned cluster. It gathers and synthesizes input from various sources — including Local sales organization, trade partners, and end consumers — to deliver structured, actionable insights to the Global Category Team. Takes ownership of understanding market dynamics, emerging trends, and customer behaviors, ensuring local perspectives are fully represented in global planning. Ensuring the successful deployment and local adaptation of global product category strategies as well as, support local market teams in the execution of category initiatives, providing guidance and alignment with overarching global objectives.
This is a key role for someone who thrives in a cross-functional, international environment and is passionate about bridging local market realities with global strategic planning.

Your tasks :

  • Product strategy  gather markets insights to provide to the central team and support in developing the portfolio strategy
  • Inform countries about new projects, innovation pipeline, product novelties
  • Lead the launch process from creating the business case, provide the inputo for the catalogue creation, coordinate the master data process and train the sales organization 
  • Analyzes market environment to optimize range line-up & help local sales organization to optimize sales and margins
  • Execute yearly benchmarks to define prices and indentify gaps.
  • SKU management  — support the innitiaves to reduce complexity by identifying those SKUs that can be phased-out
  • SKU cancellation - Lead the Phase-out process
  • Prepare go to market plan to ensure a proper launch strategy (value chain finalization, product/launch training implementation, commercial package readiness, …)
  • Analyzes past results and provides initial forecasts for new initiatives 
  • Makes recommendations to markets; defines, drives and follows-up corrective actions with markets
  • Financials (reviews and analyzes, potential future corrective actions, changes in line-up, changes in Value Chains)

Requirements :

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree, but preferably a Master’s degree in Marketing or related field. 
  • You have already gained your first working experience of maximum 2 years in a multinational, interdivisional and/or cross-functional role in industrial or consumer goods sector, ideally with a ‘consultancy profile’
  • Languages: fluent in English & Spanish, both written and verbal; additional languages  are a plus
  • Analytical skills, collaborative, and agile learner
  • Ability to build relationships across diverse teams in an inclusive organization
  • Strong business acumen with an ability to see the big picture
  • Passion for delivering on objectives and developing solutions
