About the job

SUMMARY
This role leads a team of product managers and will be the business manager of Franke smallware’s products.  This role will be a cross-functional team leader, overseeing the following for Franke smallware’s: product life cycle management, portfolio management, new product development programs, commercialization plans, voice of customer and market research, and go-to market strategy. 

Your tasks

 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

•Initially help lead the change management journey, with the support of leadership, from current processes and behaviors to new processes and behaviors to establish a high-impact product management team. 
•Work very closely with Franke Asia Sourcing team.
•Lead and effectively manage tradeoffs between short- and long-term product priorities leveraging portfolio analysis methodologies.
•Lead strategic assessment work including trends analysis, VOC/customer needs, competitive landscape, and internal capabilities audits.
•Lead the development, cascade, and adoption of product vision, strategy, and roadmap development. 
•Create value and lead product life cycle management and prioritization by driving NPD, improving product profitability, and sustaining the value and relevance of existing product portfolio.
•Help drive strategic and transactional pricing activities to maximize value capture.
•Act as product expert, developing, and supporting sales enablement programs related to the assigned product lines. 
•Act as back-of-house operations expert, deeply understanding the needs of our key account customers.
•Collaborate cross-functionally to conceptualize and develop new products or enhance existing ones, including conducting market research, identifying customer requirements, and defining product specifications and roadmaps.
•Initiate and support business cases for NPDs that execute elements; Submit for management approval project justifications related to new product development for the assigned product lines.
•Lead the project prioritization in collaboration with project management to ensure that projects are delivered on time per the customer and quality needs.
•Actively lead and support new product development and change projects in partnership with sales, engineering, operations, and supply chain.
•Lead and manage product portfolio phase-in, phase-out, and continuous improvements and collaborate with engineering, supply chain and operations on engineering change requests, complexity reduction, and relocation management.
•Collaborate with engineering, supply chain and operations to identify cost-saving opportunities, value engineering, and complexity reduction projects.
•Drive simplification and platforming by collaborating with engineering and operations to expand, leverage, and scale technology and feature platforms.

•High Language Skills - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
•High Mathematical Skills - Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. 
•Very High Reasoning Skills - Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
•Computer Skills: Word Processing software, Spreadsheet software, Design related software, 3-D Design Software, Internet software, Manufacturing software, Database software.
•Project Management – Ability to manage multiple workloads from a department level, assigning projects based on team members skill level and area of expertise. 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 
•Bachelor’s Degree, Engineering, Business Management
•10 + years’ experience in an Engineering position, 
•5 + years management experience
•OR equivalent combination of education and experience
•Strong project management skills and experience with leading high profile projects
•Advanced operational knowledge of restaurant procedures and practices, equipment and skills needed to perform various tasks within a restaurant environment preferred but not required.
