About the job

SUMMARY
The Global Director of Segment Management role leads and directs key customer focused activities relative to both business development and account maintenance. Acts as customer and sales teams’ main point-of-contact and subject matter expert on behalf of the company capabilities. Manages key account relationship day-to-day with respect to new product development, customer project activity collaborating with Sales, Inside Sales, and Product Management. Leads a team of segment managers based in AMERICAS, APAC, and EMEA and reports to the Global Sr. Director of Segment Management.

Your tasks

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
• Gather and cascade internally the latest customer intelligence including VoC, insights and priorities by brand and by country (i.e. store package evolution, development priorities and markets, upcoming and planned rollouts, strategic imperatives) in partnership with sales team.  
• Acts as information resource and conduit to all areas of direct customer base (Regional, Corporate, Divisional, and in support of sales team members, Franchisee’s, and National Franchisee’s Association).  
• Investigate and determine cause of customer-initiated issues related to product functionality and provides timely internal and external communication of corrective actions.  
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve field issues with product quality, reliability, functionality, installation, and application in a timely manner.  
• Coordinates with inside and outside sales teams to provide consultation to customer. Coordinate customer communication between sales, sales administration, and product management.
• Influence concept design and development in collaboration with product management.
• Influence global product roadmap and development strategy.
• Support sales enablement by collaborating with Product Management, Inside Sales, and Marketing Communications.
• Develop brand-specific marketing programs and promotions aligned with Joint Business Planning (JBP) priorities.
• Creates and maintains dashboards, KPIS, reports as required to support business needs.
• Create and maintain brand specific dashboards (priorities, rollouts, NPD, etc), KPIS, and ad hoc reports as required to support business needs.  
• Engage in periodic reviews of product pricing in coordination with Sales, Strategic Pricing and Product Management.  Perform other duties as assigned.

• High Reasoning Skills – Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
• Computer Skills – Word Processing software, Spreadsheet software, Design related software, 3-D Design Software, Internet software, Manufacturing software, Database software.
• Project Management – Ability to manage multiple workloads from a department level, assigning projects based on team members skill level and area of expertise. 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 
• Bachelor’s degree, Engineering
• 15 years of (business to business) in product management, product development, or product marketing.
• Business Development & account management experience preferred 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Does not directly supervise staff but must be able to exert influence within other departments to communicate and champion product development priorities and deadlines.
