About the job
Franke Global Procurement is seeking an experienced leader to serve as the Global OEM Category Director for the Foodservice Division, based in Smyrna, TN, USA. As part of Franke Foodservice Systems—a global leader in innovative kitchen facilities, equipment, and supplies serving restaurant operators across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC—you will be responsible for implementing our worldwide strategy for commercial equipment, spare parts, and smallwares. This role requires you to optimize our supply base and product portfolio in close collaboration with sales, marketing, and R&D teams, while strategically mapping our supplier network to identify opportunities for value creation. Your tasks
Category Management
- Develop, leverage and expand the use of foodservice industry buying groups for OEM and smallwares, ensuring Franke’s competitive advantage.
- Conduct operational fulfillment (equipment supply/distribution and related spare parts)
- Develop, communicate and implement a sourcing strategy in collaboration with key stakeholders, to ensure alignment with generation plan and technology roadmap. Delivering best TCO, service levels and value proposition to Franke’s costumers.
- Be the subject matter expert; Continuously analyze the supply market to identify risks & opportunities
Supplier relationship and portfolio management
- Supplier relationship management; quickly developing rapport at all levels
- Establish and manage SLAs and key performance indicators, and ensure alignment with the agreed terms. Conduct business reviews on a regular basis.
- Supplier portfolio management ensuring complete and accurate product information is shared with Franke’s product management teams.
- Contract negotiation, review and lifecycle management
- Negotiate prices and management of rebate processing, price update communications and invoice control process.
Project management
- Identify and manage implementation of cost and EBIT improvement initiatives.
- Work cross-functionally to engage and align on achieving strategic company targets.
- Report on agreed KPI’s within the organization
Continuous improvement of value and quality
- Develop close relationship with regional customer service/experience teams, ensuring quality issues raised by customers are timely addressed and reported by suppliers.
- Hold suppliers accountable to drive continuous improvement of service level, cost and quality
- Implement, support and ensure the use of relevant strategic sourcing processes
- Support, and drive when necessary, Franke’s ESG efforts.
Leadership
- Engage and secure an open and direct dialogue with stakeholders • Lead the supplier relationship with support of other key stakeholders
- Be the procurement expert of his/her category and insure good deployment of this expertise
- Coordinate and ensure global alignment within the OEM procurement function;
- Coach and/or mentor others in the organization
Requirements
Education, Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Finance or alike required; Master’s degree is an asset
- Appropriate professional affiliations, such as CPSCM, desirable but not mandatory.
- Languages: Fluent in English (written and spoken) is a prerequisite, other languages are an asset.
- Proficient in data analytics with large amounts of data using MS Excel or equivalent too

Experience
- 7-10 years within Procurement and/or Product Management; preferably within the Foodservice industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing sourcing activities in the equipment buying groups, equipment dealers or equivalent in the foodservice industry.
