About the job

SUMMARY
The ICQA Lead assists the Operations Manager and/or Supervisor in overseeing inventory control and quality assurance functions within a production, warehouse, or distribution center environment. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting audits, identifying root causes of discrepancies, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring quality, safety, and company standards are consistently met. The ICQA Lead indirectly leads and supports associates within assigned areas to promote accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.

Your tasks

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
• Assists in coordinating daily ICQA activities, including cycle counts, audits, and inventory verification tasks. 
• Performs routine system-to-physical inventory audits across production and/or warehouse locations. 
• Investigates inventory discrepancies related to receiving, production, picking, packing, shipping, or material movement. 
• Conducts root-cause analysis and partners with Operations and cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions. 
• Assists in maintaining accurate inventory records through timely documentation and system updates. 
• Ensures parts, materials, and finished goods are properly labeled, stored, and located to maintain accuracy, space efficiency, and safety compliance. 
• Interacts with other departments to resolve inventory or quality issues and support operational needs. 
• Supports quality assurance activities and verifies adherence to established quality standards. 
• Assists with training associates on inventory control processes, quality requirements, and error prevention best practices. 
• Ensures safety guidelines and company policies are followed, reports noncompliance to Supervisor. 
• Participates in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inventory accuracy, quality, and operational efficiency. 
• Conducts weekly audits to ensure Lean and 5S principles are followed in assigned areas. 
• Maintains reliable attendance and punctuality. 
• Performs other duties as required, directed, or assigned by Supervisor.

• Inventory Control and Quality Knowledge – Understanding of inventory management principles, production or warehouse processes, quality standards, and material handling practices. 
• Basic Language Skills – Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate simple instructions, procedures, and reports. 
• Basic Mathematical Skills – Ability to calculate variances, percentages, and inventory adjustments using whole numbers and decimals. 
• Basic Reasoning Ability – Ability to apply common sense to follow instructions, analyze discrepancies, and resolve routine inventory or quality issues.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 
• High School Diploma or GED required. 
• Minimum 2 years of experience in production, manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution center environment. 
• Previous inventory control, cycle counting, ICQA, or quality-related experience preferred. 

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Does not supervise staff
