About the job

The Regional Sales Manager for Franke's Western U.S. market will be responsible for all aspect of achieving sales and EBIT Growth within the designated region. Achievement of business objectives is a critical component to Franke in building stakeholder value. 

Your tasks

  • Achieve sales and EBIT objectives for the segment;
  • Develop and prioritize target list of potential customers and actively manage the sales process by making sales calls, product demonstrations and manage the relationship during pre-sales, market test, rollout and post-sales activities;
  • Develop strategy to support distributors to ensure budget goals.
  • Demonstrates an ability to challenge the customer's status quo and proactively provides an insight demonstrating a strong value proposition
  • Manage the internal and external sales processes for the segment;
  • Provide forecast for the Business Development team to ensure adequate inventory and service support for the segment requirements;
  • Provide feedback to the Business Development and Marketing Teams regarding segment trends, competitive conditions, product suggestions and growth opportunities;
  • Submit monthly work plan and progress report to management team;
  • Act as primary Industry Liaison in events such as trade shows, conferences, customer events, etc.;
  • Operate within expense budget guidelines;
  • Participate with Sales, Business Development, Finance and Marketing Teams during the planning process;
  • Manage reference customers and develop testimonials, case studies and ROI information;
  • Reliable attendance is a must;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Track record of sales achievement, preferably in the segment;
  • Ability to function effectively as team leader, team member;
  • General knowledge of the foodservice industry and retail segment;
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
  • BA/BS, preferably with a focus on business, sales and marketing; 
  • Five years’ specific industry experience which may include building products and wholesale plumbing industry experience.
  • Or combination of education and experience.

  • Sales and Marketing – Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
  • Very High Interpretive Comprehension & Language Skills – Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
  • Basic Mathematical Skills – Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • High Reasoning Skills – Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
