SUMMARY 

Oversee financial activities of the Shared Services Accounting Team and provide financial advice and support to members of management enabling them to make sound business decisions.  Assist the Controller to ensure company account procedures conform to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). 

Your tasks

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES 

• Prepare and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheet and profit & loss accounts. Conduct detailed financial analysis at the departmental level, comparing actual results to budgeted activity.  Generate reports that summarize and forecast business performance based on historical and projected data.  
• Support asset inventory control processes, including month-end journal entries and detailed inventory monitoring. Collaborate with the Controller to coordinate and manage periodic physical asset inventories.  
• Assist in the enhancement of financial systems and processes, including general ledger, cost accounting, inventory, fixed assets, accounts receivable/payable, and financial reporting. Lead the review and development of standard operating procedures, applying lean principles and automation strategies to drive efficiency.  
• Support the implementation of accounting policies and procedures aligned with company objectives and Franke Group standards. Monitor internal controls and recommend improvements to ensure compliance and financial integrity.  
• Assist the Controlling team in managing the annual budgeting process, preparing proposals, and compiling supporting documentation and justifications.  
• Provide assistance during internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate responses to audit inquiries.  
• Partner with Human Resources on all aspects of employee relations, including recruitment, coaching, performance management, scheduling, and training.  
• Reliable attendance is a must.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Management - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
• Economics and Accounting - Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, and analysis and reporting of financial data.
• Very High Language Skills - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
• Very High Reasoning Skills - Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
• Computer Skills - Word processing, spreadsheets, and database software.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
• BS/BA Degree in related field;
• Minimum of 5–10 years of professional accounting experience. 
• 3–5 years of managerial or supervisory experience overseeing financial operations or teams.
• Knowledge of IFRS is beneficial but not required.
• Familiarity with LEAN methodologies is a plus.
• Experience with SAP systems is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Does directly supervise staff
