We’re seeking a proactive Safety Technician who will support and strengthen our occupational health & safety, fire protection, and environmental protection systems. You’ll work closely with our Safety Specialist and play a key role in shaping a safe, compliant, and sustainable workplace for everyone at Franke Slovakia.

Your tasks

What You’ll Do

You will be the driving force behind prevention, compliance, and continuous improvement. Your responsibilities will include:

Risk & Safety Management

  • Participate in risk assessments for all site activities to identify potential hazards affecting employee health and safety.
  • Cooperate with local and corporate departments to eliminate, mitigate, or control identified risks.
  • Ensure availability and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) for all employees and contractors.
  • Take part in monitoring workplace environmental factors and propose preventive measures based on results.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Develop, update, and maintain all documentation related to OHS, fire protection, and environmental protection.
  • Support the creation and implementation of internal regulations, programs, and initiatives aligned with legislation and corporate directives.
  • Ensure all work instructions comply with safety, fire protection, and environmental laws.
  • Oversee compliance with waste management, water and air protection regulations, including documentation control.

Training & Awareness

  • Organize and deliver initial and periodic OHS, fire protection, and environmental training for employees and external partners.
  • Support the training and readiness of internal fire patrol members.

Incident Prevention & Response

  • Analyze safety incidents (near misses, first aid cases, lost-time accidents, occupational diseases) and prepare regular reports and statistics.
  • Provide expert support during incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Assist in hazardous substances and waste management.
  • Conduct preventive fire protection inspections and propose improvements.

Emergency Preparedness

  • Support the identification of potential environmental and fire-related emergency scenarios.
  • Contribute to civilian defense planning and emergency preparedness activities.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of relevant OHS, fire protection, and environmental legislation (advantage).
