About the job

As a Junior GL & Tax Accountant, you will assist the Corporate Controller to ensure company tax accounting procedures conform to generally accepted accounting principles.
This role is based in our office in Warsaw and is part of the Global Finance Team, reporting directly to the Team Leader Accounting and Reporting.

Your tasks

  • Reconcile of income tax general ledger accounts
  • Reconcile of Tax Basis fixed assets on a quarterly and annual basis
  • Assist with the collection of accounting data necessary for tax returns and provisions
  • Support the deployment of accounting policies and procedures to keep up with company needs and requirements of the group maintaining legal tax compliance
  • Maintain US Group Board books
  • Support the Controller in managing budget preparation, budget proposals, and prepare supporting documentation and justification
  • Assist with the coordination of documentation required for transfer pricing studies
  • Prepare and submit for approval any changes in banking authorizations
  • Prepare and reconcile the daily cash report for all US Companies
  • Reconcile banking transactions to balances in TM5
  • Code, allocate, log, redact (legal only), and submit legal, insurance, audit, tax, and other invoices for approval
  • Track daily credit card fees charged to customers in banking system
  • Consolidate information necessary for annual insurance renewals
  • Assist with preparation of year-end tax reporting
  • Prepare annual property and business taxes for all US Companies
  • Learn sales tax processing as a backup

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or currently pursuing final year of studies)
  • 0–2 years of relevant experience in accounting or tax
  • Exposure to general ledger reconciliations or financial reporting is beneficial
  • Willingness to work between 11am and 7pm due to close cooperation with colleagues in the US
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Fluent in English – both written and verbal communication is essential
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel
